Project AccountantLocation: Vancouver, British Columbia, CAPosition: Project Accountant at Aecon Group Inc.Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Project Accountant plays an essential role in supporting project execution working with accounts payable, purchasing and payroll supporting multiple projects across Western Canada. This is an in‑office position based out of Vancouver, BC.What You’ll Do Here:Responsible for project finance working with accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll and Business Unit finance to prepare partnership financial reportsAssist in the preparation of cash flows for the projectPrepare monthly reconciliations related to Balance Sheet & Income statementAssist with audits – financial, Internal control & taxWork with Project Operations Management team to identify and forecast financial exposuresWork with project staff / project controls to review all standard costsParticipate in the preparation of quarterly forecasts/annual Business Plans/ Budgets for the projectProject month‑end organization, prepare, and enter month‑end entries such as subcontractor accruals and cost transfersAssist with the review & issue of project cost reports and with developing Estimated Costs at Completion (ECAC)Preparing monthly progress invoices to Owner/Consultant for work performed during the month; enter client billings into the applicable systemEnsure payroll, taxation and accounting practices in compliance with statutory requirementsPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required.Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives,
