The role requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional mechanical engineering skills, including SolidWorks (or equivalent) design experience, and a general business aptitude to support our sales teams.Job ResponsibilitiesReview and understand customer technical requirementsCreate conceptual designs in SolidWorks for automation solutions to support proposal developmentEnhance concepts for customer presentations (e.G., rendering of solid models)Perform engineering calculations to verify concepts (e.G., cycle times, kinematic and agile motion analysis, accuracy,
FEA, CFD, etc.)Present concepts quickly and efficiently for internal reviews and approvalsDevelop and maintain a SolidWorks library for standard solution blocksWhen required, create documentation and/or training tools to support continuous improvement activitiesWork with teams and independently to complete all specific tasks with minimal supervisionEducationWorking toward a post‑secondary degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering2nd year or above co‑op studentRequired Skills/ExperienceProficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD/DraftSightStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong MS Excel skills are an assetMotivated, innovative, and creative individualMust upload a transcript with previous work term ratings (if applicable) and portfolio as part of the applicationLegal StatementATS is in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005 and will, upon request, assist those who may require specific accommodations due to a personal disability.
