The position is full‑time, permanent, and reports to the Engineering Lab Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in prototyping, assembly, and troubleshooting of new and existing appliances.Prepare test setups and perform laboratory tests for regulatory compliance and product development.Collect and analyze test data, prepare accurate technical reports, and document findings in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.Learn complex test procedures and operate specialized test equipment, developing expertise in this area.Support the development and enforcement of laboratory procedures, maintaining laboratory safety.Become familiar with product lines and understand how each model operates.Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and calibration schedules for all testing equipment.QualificationsSpecialized Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and report writing.Hands‑on experience with laboratory tools and instruments.Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures.Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Robust organizational, documentation,



and communication skills.Education and ExperienceAssociate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics, HVAC, or a related field.5+ years of experience in a lab, R&D;, or product testing role, preferably in the appliance or gas and electric equipment industries.Preferred QualificationsTSSA Gas Technician Certificate G.3 or G.2.Familiarity with gas systems, combustion principles, and pressure/flow measurement tools, gas regulators, orifices, burners, and igniters.Experience working on electrical appliances or electrical systems.Knowledge of UL/ANSI/CSA/EN/IEC standards for gas and electric appliances.Working ConditionsHeavy computer use.Laboratory environment with moderate noise and repetitive tasks.Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and lift for extended periods.Lincoln, a Welbilt brand, has been a leading manufacturer for over 60 years, designing and producing a full line of commercial ovens.
