serving and cleaning tables; Assists with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef; Practices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department; Promotes and tracks a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures; Complies with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour ready; Participates in drills to prepare for emergencies and attends all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness; Work in accordancewith the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety ActWhat you need to know:Must have the Smart Serve designation OR Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan locations) and one year experience in dining room service; Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team; Safe Food HandlingCertification preferred; Experience workingwith seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset; Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds; Effective verbal and written English communication skills requiredSienna Senior Living is committed to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
