1 Georgian Dr, Barrie, ON L4M 1E9, CanadaJob DescriptionWhile this role is based in Barrie, ON, the candidate for this rolemust be able to attend full-time trainingat our head office location, in Markham, daily, for a minimum of eight (8) weeks, up to ten (10) weeks.Role OverviewThe Student Support Advisor is an on‑site position at our Partner location in Barrie, ON, responsible for providing friendly, welcoming, and professional support to students through in‑person interactions. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while being supported by the team when needed. You will play an important role in guiding students through policy information and ensuring they receive accurate, timely, and caring service.Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support & ServiceProvide a welcoming and supportive experience for students.Assist with general inquiries related to policy coverage, claims processes, enrollment information, and documentation requirements.Respond promptly and accurately to student inquiries.Document all interactions by following established procedures.Escalate complex inquiries to Team Leads when needed.AdministrativeProcess current insurance policies, policy changes, and cancellations with accuracy and efficiency.Maintain well‑organized and detailed records of correspondence with students and Partners.Create, analyze, and compare reports using Excel.Communicate professionally and clearly through written and in‑person channels.Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of internal procedures, partner requirements, and insurance policies.Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Navigate multiple systems, using at least two screens efficiently, to assist students effectively.Meet or exceed Quality Assurance standards for service and accuracy.Participate in ongoing training and on‑site learning opportunities to maintain knowledge and skills.Travel up to four (4) times per month to Owen Sound campus.Privacy & ComplianceRead, acknowledge,
and comply with all policies and procedures of the organization.Attend privacy and security training during onboarding and annually thereafter.Immediately notify the Privacy Office of any incident or potential incident involving unauthorized access, use, copying, alteration, or disclosure of personal information.Work collaboratively with the Privacy Office to gather information, implement corrective actions, and submit privacy incident reports as necessary.Comply with all business policies and procedures, including annual privacy and security training.Immediately report any potential or actual privacy or security incidents to the Privacy Office.Education & ExperiencePost‑secondary education in Business, Insurance, Healthcare Administration, Customer Service, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Previous experience in customer service, insurance administration, or a client‑facing role is an asset.Experience working with diverse client groups is preferred.Friendly, welcoming, and professional communication style.Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and accurately.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks.Comfortable using multiple software platforms and screens simultaneously.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.Problem‑solving mindset with sound judgment when handling inquiries.Comfortable adapting to new situations with the ability to perform well, negotiate, and problem‑solve in dynamic situations.Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in grammar, spelling,
