The PositionThis role drives and governs the capabilities of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) across the organization in a strategic and sustainable manner, considering the overarching business strategy and objectives.Location: Burlington, Ontario office, 5180 South Service Road. Adaptable role requiring office attendance at least 50% of the time each month and availability when requested by the Manager/Department.Governs and drives the SFE frameworkDrive change management within the organization to accept and understand SFE as a productivity and effectiveness tool.Develop and communicate Canadian SFE and multi‑channel KPIs and targets based on clear business rules and alignment with global standards.Drive successful implementation of KPIs by working with Analytics to conduct data analysis, derive insights, and provide SFE and digital KPI reports that enhance user experience through visualization and storytelling of data relationships.Collaborate with first‑line CFT managers to discuss insights, identify improvement opportunities, and propose corrective action plans in agreement with the Director of CE and BUD.Conduct training needs analysis to identify required training for CFT performance and effectiveness; develop and implement training plans.Continuously review competency models and assessment tools for sales roles to define performance success.Collaborate across business units with CFT and BUDs to set territory‑level sales/activity targets.Customer Segmentation and Targeting processDevelop and deploy customer segmentation and targeting models that relate to each species team and maximize customer value.Continuously adapt and improve segmentation and targeting models to fit future business models and brand focus,
including product launches and customer consolidation.Support sales and marketing leaders in implementing segmentation models, ensuring sales teams are fully trained and equipped and that segmentation is embedded in the CRM system.Collaborate across business units with sales and species heads to set sales/activity targets.Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)Work with key stakeholders to collect data, model, and approve all incentive programs (including bonus payments, Honour Circle Awards, Global Excellence Awards, and other awards).Provide quarterly SIP/KPI analyses to the leadership team.Proactively provide data‑driven insights and propose incentive program enhancements to stakeholders accountable for field‑force incentive schemes.Strategic and Key Account Management (SAM/KAM)Collaborate with sales managers and BUDs to devise and implement tools and processes that increase CFT productivity and effectiveness.Recognize and share best practices across species teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best‑in‑class customer‑facing processes.Work with first‑line managers to identify training needs and develop training materials supporting CE‑developed tools and processes.Manage continuous improvement projects based on business needs and lead CE programs/projects in the SFE area.Engage in global interaction and collaboration; request guidance on newprojects and strategies when necessary.Align with global projects requiring multinational,
global‑scale participation.RequirementsUniversity degree.Relevant marketing, sales management, and/or CE experience.Strong sales management experience.Proven experience in commissioning and analyzing market research, data, etc. into actionable insights.Strong project and process management skills, including leading project teams, developing business cases, plans, scope definitions, and presentations.Proven experience in multi‑channel execution (digital and non‑digital).Applied experience in implementing SFE capabilities—selling process, segmentation & targeting, sales incentives, etc.Animal Health Industry experience.Experience with SFE model implementation.Results‑oriented motivation.Strategic thinker.Attention to detail and quality focus.Strong influencing skills, able to influence teams outside of direct control—including species teams and global business.Total RewardsCompetitive total rewards including a generous amount of paid time off (vacation, personal days, contingency paid time off for Long Term Contract Employees), comprehensive and flexible benefits plan, Defined Contribution Pension Plan with company matching of RRSP contributions, Employee and Family Assistance Plan, employee and leadership development programs, and programs supporting overall health and wellness.The salary range for this position is from $118,150 to $157,600.
