This role requires expert‑level knowledge of intrusion alarm systems, access control, IP surveillance, networking fundamentals, and structured cabling. You will lead installation projects, mentor team members, and ensure every system is installed according to manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and New Age Group best practices.You’ll represent our organization onsite with professionalism, technical confidence, and pride in delivering work that meets the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & IntegrationLead installation and commissioning of security systems including:Access controlVideo surveillanceIntercom systemsIntrusion alarmsRelated IoT and low‑voltage technologiesInstall, program,
and integrate hardware to manufacturer and industry standardsPerform structured cabling tasks:Fiber terminationShielded and unshielded Ethernet terminationPatch panel terminationRack dressing and cable managementProgram Alarm systems onsite with support from the Installation & Service Manager (ISM) and Project ManagersConduct ULC Burglar and Fire Protective Signaling installation & maintenancePerform annual preventative maintenance and generate comprehensive service reportsUpdate project drawings and documentation (model numbers, cable routes, device heights, etc.)Collaborate with remote technicians for troubleshooting and advanced supportProject ExecutionWork with the ISM and Project Managers to complete installations, service calls, and commissioning activities on scheduleConduct site surveys and recommend installation methods aligned with project requirementsProvide field feedback regarding product performance and installation challengesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentMentor junior technicians through hands‑on support and skills developmentEnsure team members follow safety requirements, best practices,
and installation standardsLead installation teams and supervise quality control onsiteProvide detailed performance feedback to leadership for continuous improvementWarehouse & Logistics SupportAssist with equipment preparation and staging for projectsMaintain accurate inventory and documentationKeep warehouse and vehicles organized and compliant with company standardsSkills, Education & Experience RequiredMinimum 5 years of experience installing and commissioning security and low‑volt‑age systems in North AmericaStrong knowledge of:Access controlIP surveillanceIntrusion alarmsNetworking fundamentalsStructured cablingExperience terminating fiber, shielded/unshielded Ethernet, and dressing racks to professional standardsAbility to read drawings, interpret schematics, and update documentationStrong problem‑solving skills and technical troubleshooting abilityExcellent communication (verbal & written) and organizational skillsProficiency with systems such as DSC, ICT Protégé, Axis and typical networking components (switches, patch panels, routers)Valid Ontario G‑Class driver’s license with clean abstractAbility to lift 50 lbs and work at heights (with training)Manufacturer CertificationsCandidates with manufacturer certifications or a willingness to obtain them:ICT ProtégéDSC / QolsysAxis CommunicationsMilestoneFiber optics certificationCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $85,000–$100,000 based on experience and certificationsHealth benefits: medical, dental, and visionAnnual performance bonusGrowth opportunities with a company that invests in training & certificationMonday–Friday schedule (hours may vary depending on projects)Mandatory RequirementsClean Criminal Background Check (past 5 years in Canada)Candidates must currently reside in OntarioThree professional references available upon request#J-18808-Ljbffr
