Maintenance Millwright/Electrician 433A/442A - Day ShiftVaughan, OntarioPosition SummaryAs a Maintenance Millwright 433A or Electrician 422A you are responsible for contributing to the company’s operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order management including reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance for all technical and non‑technical components.Primary ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate and uphold Riverside Natural Food’s Core Values.Cooperate with maintenance staff in everyday scheduling, preventative maintenance, repair of all production equipment and resolution of equipment related issues.Collaborate with the Maintenance team and Parts Clerk to maintain equipment and parts inventory using available resources to continuously minimize downtime and organize Maintenance Workshop.Contribute and participate in equipment repairs, overhauls, and rebuilding to ensure that it is fully operational and safe to operate and within schedule requirements.Ensure your work and your colleagues work complies with quality, health and safety standards and proper environmental practices within the plant and the Maintenance Department.Be the embodiment and example of ADAPTABILITY and composure in times of volatility, uncertainty, and ambiguity.Provide support to the team across all weekdays and shifts as needed in instances of vacation, and other instances as requested.Be a quick adopter of new maintenance strategies and initiatives encouraging participation and adoption amongst the Team.Effectively use CMMS and give feedback to add value to the maintenance strategy.Develop and maintain a continuous improvement and open mindset among technicians.Provide and document continuous feedback to all technicians in such a manner to continuously develop skills and motivate them.Understand and comply with health, safety, GMP and food safety practices.Inspect, maintain, adjust, and repair food processing equipment and machinery to ensure the equipment is always in proper working order.Ensure maintenance activities meet required standards of precise highly automated equipment.Ensure maintenance team members are responsive to production needs and equipment failures.Independently conduct or coordinate equipment set up and changeover.Conduct high‑quality, documented preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance.Assist with facility renovation and maintenance as necessary.Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as sonoscope, voltmeters and other testing devices to troubleshoot malfunctions and make repairs as needed.Take ownership and work independently without supervision,



meet tight deadlines.Prepare notes on learnings, contribute to procedures, notes of observations and training to share with the broader maintenance team for overall growth and development.Contribute to maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information.Exemplify grit in the pursuit of resolving emergency repairs, troubleshooting, creating a harmonious and effective maintenance team.Record all maintenance and repair services performed, keep track of all materials and parts used during repair process.Demonstrate knowledge sharing by mentoring, training, and guiding activities of junior and other maintenance technicians.Suggest and implement continuous improvement projects to improve equipment performance.Keep the work atmosphere fun by keeping it light and welcoming.Technically assist with troubleshooting situations, evaluate and implement improvements to mitigate repeat issues in the plants.Perform regular technical and non‑technical component monitoring, inspection and repairs including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.Ensure all work is completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance program. Ensure deficiencies identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documents are maintained.Ensure facilities are always kept to GMP, CFIA and BRC standards. Participate in preparation for audits and inspections.Exemplify respect in working relationships with all key internal stakeholders.Identify gaps within the maintenance team and take appropriate steps to address them.Flexible to work day, afternoon and night shifts temporarily to support production, based on need for coverage.Other related duties as assigned.Education and QualificationsMinimum 2–5 years experience as a Maintenance Millwright 433A or Electrician 422A.Experience with equipment such as vertical wrapper, horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, tunnel oven is an asset.Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and controls (Allen Bradley) preferred.Ability to read technical drawings, procedures and electrical schematics.Hands‑on experience with power transmission systems, electrical and electronic controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems,
