Enhance the lives of Indigenous children and families at Native Child and Family Services of Toronto in this hybrid Child and Family Wellbeing Worker role. Collaborate with community for culturally relevant care. This unionized position is perfect for individuals with a B.S.W. and two years of relevant experience in child and family services.
Engage in immediate response functions, coordinate services, and build relationships that foster child and family well-being. Your expertise in Indigenous culture will be instrumental in supporting families through challenges. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to ensure child safety
Develop relationships to evaluate strengths and needs
Advocate for culturally appropriate service access
Facilitate ongoing family contact and support
Attend court hearings as required Requirements:
B.S.W. or compact education/experience combination
At least two years in a relevant working context
Valid Driver’s License and dependable vehicle
Comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous history
Excellent communication and organizational abilities Drive positive change in Indigenous families’ lives with Native Child commitment.
