Take on an impactful role as Addictions Counsellor I at Corner Brook Community Health Centre. This position offers a chance to assist individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues. As part of the Adaptable Assertive Community Treatment Team, you will play a crucial role in assessing clients, crafting treatment plans, and providing ongoing support.
You’ll partner with community agencies and support clients in managing their recovery journey, contributing significantly to their well-being. Key Responsibilities:
Implement client assessments and recovery strategies
Connect clients to substance use treatment services
Advocate for client needs within the community
Collaborate effectively with the FACT team members
Offer after-hours support as required
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Social Work is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology necessary
Relevant experience in counseling and crisis intervention
Eligibility for regulatory body registration
Valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle required
