Join UBC's Drone Transport Initiative as a Research Engineer. Spearhead projects focused on long-range medical drones and their automated flight systems. As a Research Engineer at UBC, you will lead the development of advanced autopilot systems for medical drones.

Your expertise in aerospace guidance, navigation, and control will drive improvements in healthcare access for underserved communities. The role requires close collaboration with faculty, industry partners, and government bodies to ensure compliance and safety in drone operations. Key Responsibilities:
Develop algorithms for flight planning and control systems
Integrate technology into autopilot installations
Conduct rigorous flight testing and data analysis
Coordinate with Transport Canada on regulatory matters
Generate technical documentation and research reports Requirements:
Engineering degree with three years of experience
Solid background in robotics and control systems
Commitment to fostering inclusive community practices
Experience with embedded C/C++ and flight testing
Preferred knowledge of ROS/ROS2 framework Shape the future of healthcare delivery through cutting-edge drone technology at UBC.
