Lead geological services at Magna Mining's Levack Mine in Greater Sudbury, Canada. This role centers on overseeing sustainable mining operations through effective geological modeling and resource management. As the Chief Mine Geologist, you will guide a team while ensuring protected underground operations.
Responsibilities include overseeing grade control, geological mapping, and orebody interpretation. You'll also manage ore mark-ups, collaborate with exploration teams, and mentor support staff to drive excellence in mining practices. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee geological mapping and core logging processes
Ensure accurate ore control models for planning
Manage ore mark-ups for maximum recovery
Collaborate on near-mine drilling programs
Lead monthly production reconciliation and reporting efforts Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field
Skilled Geoscientist of Ontario certification required
Minimum 8 years experience in underground geology
At least 3 years in a leadership role
