Job description:

Western Archrib has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of glued-laminated structural wood systems since 1951. We are currently looking for Timber Finishers at our Sturgeon County facility.

Location: Sturgeon County

Shifts: (Hours subject to change)
Dayshift: Mon-Fri 6am – 2pm
Weekend: Fri-Sat 6am – 6pm

Overtime may be required dependant on production requirements

Role Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of woodworking power tools
Troubleshoot quality control defects in wood beams and repair as required
Maintain quality control, safety standards and protected work practices
Application of laminated wood sealer and other finishing chemicals
Use of overhead cranes on single and multiple crane lifts
Wrapping and unwrapping beams for shipments and rework as required
All finishing duties are performed indoors

Role Requirements:
Physically fit and able to lift to a maximum of 50lbs
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation,



and ability to work 8 hour or 10 hr shifts
Standard CSA approved steel toed boots, protection, work gloves, and reflective vests
Candidates with experience in the carpentry trade, preferably in the timber industry will be considered but not required
Attention to detail, valuable organizational and communication skills
