OverviewTemporary Full Time Investment Planning Counsel (IPC) is one of Canada's leading independent wealth management firms. We’re seeking a Manager, Transitions – someone who plans, directs and manages the onboarding of Advisory Teams to IPC. As a leader, this role is responsible for leading multiple Advisory teams from across Canada on both MFDA & IIROC platforms. The Transitions department implements best practices to effectively manage the execution of both internal and external Advisor transitions.What You Will DoResponsible for the successful transition of independent advisors to our corporate advisory programDesigning and implementing tailored transition plans to meet the specific needs of Advisors and their clientsCollaborating with internal departments to streamline and enhance transition processesDeveloping risk mitigation strategies for transitions and troubleshooting any issues that ariseHands on, serving as the primary point of contact for advisors throughout the transition process, providing guidance, motivation and fostering shared accountability to maximize successManaging the end-to-end transition process, including system and hardware onboarding, premises and infrastructure alignment, re-contracting, re-branding, implementation of the client experience, surfacing learning and development needs and moreEstablishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to advisor transitionsProvide executive sponsors and senior leadership with regular updates on transition progress, potential risks,



and post-transition feedbackDriving process improvements based on performance metrics and Advisor feedbackIdentifying opportunities for automation and process optimization to scale the transition functionStay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting Advisor transitionsThis role has potential to have direct reports as we scale the corporate advisory platformWhat You Will BringDemonstrated experience in successfully managing and implementing change processesExceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey transition strategies and updates to all stakeholdersProven ability to lead and inspire teams through periods of change and transitionSkilled in identifying issues and devising innovative solutions to overcome obstacles during transitionsStrong analytical skills to assess the impact of transitions and make data-driven decisionsProficient in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersIn-depth knowledge of mutual funds, investment platforms, insurance products, and administrative processesAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining attention to detailCapable of making independent decisions with confidence and ensuring correct actions are takenBroad business acumen to anticipate the impact on other departments due to policy or procedure changesHighly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of productsMinimum of 5-7 years managerial work experience in the financial services industry, with a comprehensive understanding of all divisional products and processes related to sales and transaction processingPost-secondary education in Business or Project ManagementCompensationThe base salary for this position is between $86,600 - $144,300 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.E. annual bonus, commission, etc).
