Part time Early Childhood Educator (ECE Level 2 or 3) – 2 Days/Week

Location: Red Deer, AB

Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (17 hrs/week)

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

About the Role: We are seeking an engaging, nurturing, and reliable Early Childhood Educator to care for our amazing 3-year-old son two days a week. We are looking for someone who loves creating structured, fun, and educational environments and will treat our son’s development and safety with the highest level of care. On the other day's of the week he will be attending a junior kindergarten program. We would like him to be home with more one-on-one time with an educator for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We also have a 6 year old daughter that is starting Grade 1 in September. We would require that the candidate drop her to school on the Wednesday morning only. We can provide a car seat and booster seat for our kids for transportation.

Key Responsibilities
Activity Planning: Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate daily activities (arts & crafts, outdoor play,



storytime, sensory play, and early learning games).
Daily Care: Provide a secure, patient, and supportive space while maintaining consistent daily routines, meal times, and rest periods.
Outings & Transportation: Safely transport our son to local parks, libraries, and community activities in your personal vehicle.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Certification: ECE Level 2 or Level 3 certified in Alberta.
Experience: Proven experience working directly with toddlers/preschoolers.
Driving Record: Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of 5 years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and a protected, reliable personal vehicle equipped for a car seat.

Safety: Valid First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
