Job Overview

We are looking for Balloon and Decor Installers and artists in the Lower Mainland to support us with setting up events in your area and breaking them down when the event is finished.

This is a contractor role, you will invoice Sequin Sky per event/ day (if there’s more than one set up).

We will meet virtually to discuss the design and hourly requirements each week. They will vary based on bookings.

One event will typically be 2hrs pay + mileage allowance of $0.73 per km

We typically have 2 - 5 events per weekend so there is a possibility for multiple events weekly.

About the Role:

Supporting decor setups and breakdowns (primarily Saturday & Sunday)

We will assign you a set up in your area, drop off the relevant items with you (often including a premade balloon garland) and you will be responsible for visiting the venue on the day of the event, greeting the clients and setting up the backdrop and balloons.

Later in the day when the event is over, you will return and break down the decor and take it back with you. We will collect it from you during the week after.

Experience
Experience in balloon artistry, event decorating beneficial
Prior experience in a visual or artistic field like graphic design, merchandising, design etc would be an asset
Willing to train people who are a good fit for the company

What You need:
Access to a truck
Knowledge of balloon garland design and handling
A clean, cool dark place to store items (For example: backdrops, covers, cut out and balloons
Fun meets professional personality
Amazing time management
Access to a Cricut beneficial
