Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Ethnic Food Cook (NOC 63200) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for authentic ethnic cuisine, excellent food preparation skills, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving traditional dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will contribute to creating an inviting dining experience for our customers and uphold the integrity of our culinary offerings.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic ethnic dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously in a timely manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours




Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for replenishment of ingredients and supplies

Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service, preferably within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of ethnic cuisine preparation techniques and ingredients
Excellent food handling skills with a focus on safety and hygiene standards
Ability to serve customers professionally and efficiently
Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Good organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure during busy periods
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment
