Position Overview:

As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a vital role in all stages of the production process using state-of-the-art equipment and fabrication techniques. This role includes advanced layout, forming, and structural fabrication within a agile and safety-focused shipyard setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Red Seal Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker, or 5+ years of fabrication experience
CWB all-position FCAW Tacking Ticket (preferred)
ITA Marine Fitter Endorsement (ideal)
Strong safety and environmental awareness
Excellent verbal and written English communication
Ability to work positively in a team
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
Experience fabricating metal structural parts (plates, bulkheads, frames)
Skilled in using jacks, turnbuckles, and fairing tools
Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varied weather
Willing and able to work all shifts
Advanced proficiency in grand block consolidation and understanding ship datum points

Compensation & Perks:
$59.29/hour – Red Seal Journeyperson Rate
$50.40/hour – Experienced (5+ years)



Non-Certified Fabricators
Double time for all overtime hours
Excellent health, welfare, and pension benefits after completing 480 hours
Unionized position with Marine and Shipbuilders CMAW Local 506
