Full-Time Security Guard

About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated, reliable, and professional Full-Time Security Guard to join our team at a community-focused site in Winnipeg.

This position is ideal for an experienced security professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming setting, providing excellent customer service, and interacting respectfully with students, families, staff, and members of the public.

Schedule & Pay
Hourly Rate: $17+/hour
Schedule: Morning and evening shifts
Status: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to maintain site safety and prevent unauthorized access
Monitor and control access points while enforcing site rules and procedures
Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the site
Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and other situations as required
De-escalate challenging situations using sound judgment and effective communication
Provide qualified and respectful customer service to students, families, staff, visitors, and members of the public
Communicate effectively using two-way radios
Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and daily activity reports
Work collaboratively with site staff and other security team members

Requirements




Minimum 2 years of security guard experience
At least 19 years of age
First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a CSA-approved provider
MOAB Certification — or willingness to complete company-sponsored training prior to onboarding
High School Diploma or GED
English fluency, both written and spoken
Comfortable performing physical duties, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to work professionally and respectfully with children, families, and vulnerable members of the public
Comfortable interacting professionally and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
Legally authorized to work in Canada
