Job description

We are a Drug Preparation Premises in Mississauga/Oakville, ON and provide hospitals, clinics, and physicians offices with sterile compounded preparations. Our facility employs a variety of experts including trained pharmacists, technicians, chemists, and microbiologists. We currently have a Full time Permanent opportunity for a Pharmacist.

Responsibilities
Complete the final technical check of sterile/non-sterile compounded preparations
Maintain understanding and practise of NAPRA sterile and non-sterile standards, OCP regulations, and USP 797
A/QPIC responsibilities
Maintain records and documentation
Perform calculations as per batch records
Weight verifications
Perform vial reconciliation for all batches
Ensure proper storage requirements of products are being met
Perform initial check of batch records and materials before compounding
Ensure batches are released in a timely manner
Assist in training of staff as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists




Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compounding pharmacy environment
Strong knowledge of compounding procedures, techniques, and regulations
Ability to work independently and in a team workplace
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Reliable Shifts: We are open Monday to Friday, however we ask that candidates have some weekend flexibility if required by the business.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1-9pm
Ability to commute/relocate: Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Job Types: Part time, Permanent

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
