Who We Are
Simon Fraser University is a leading research university, advancing an inclusive and sustainable future. Our purpose – the essence of SFU – is to create and connect knowledge, learning and community for deeper understanding and meaningful impact. We are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging and community in all that we do.
Launched in 1999, Executive Education (Exec Ed) has over two decades of experience working with middle and senior-level management professionals in organizations and developing customized non-credit and credit-based education programs. Long-term partnerships guide programming that enables a deep understanding of clients' needs and the design of custom programs to address those needs.
About the Role
The Portfolio Manager is a critical part of the Executive Education team and is responsible for working with an identified portfolio of internal stakeholders and external clients to implement and deliver custom credit programs; to manage operations including program budgets and contracts for instructors, facilitators, mentors, and other contractors as necessary; and, to manage program administration including recruitment, admissions, enrollment, course scheduling and program evaluations. The Manager applies a solid knowledge of University systems, processes for developing recent credit program proposals, and general graduate regulations. The role also contributes to the overall strategic direction for the area. The Portfolio Manager applies a justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion framework to all aspects of their scope of work.
