This role is essential to maintaining plant health, production efficiency, and quality standards in a large-scale greenhouse environment.Main DutiesEstablish and implement procedures, in coordination with the Production Manager and Head Grower, for all aspects of crop production including seeding, preparation, sticking, pruning, fertilizing, irrigation, lighting, and temperature controlMonitor crops and greenhouse systems to ensure optimal growing conditions, including equipment use, space allocation, and facility managementPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on greenhouse equipment, or coordinate with trades personnel as requiredConduct detailed crop inspections to identify issues related to plant health, pests, diseases,



and growth patternsApply plant growth regulators when necessary to address growth concernsInspect crops for pests and fungal issues and implement preventive or corrective measuresTrain and support greenhouse staff to ensure proper execution of tasks and development of operational backupsMaintain accurate production records and review corrective actions with the Director of Growing and Head GrowerCollaborate with the Greenhouse Supervisor to plan staffing levels, assign tasks, and support workforce productivity and safetyMaintain detailed logs related to climate control, irrigation cycles, spraying, and biological controlsEnsure high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping throughout the facilityPromote and enforce safe work practices in compliance with WorkSafeBC regulationsTake immediate corrective action to address unsafe or improper work practicesEmployment RequirementsCompletion of a college diploma or certificate in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field2-3 years experience in greenhouse production, horticulture, or crop management is an assetKnowledge of plant care, pest management, and environmental control systemsAbility to work in a quick-paced, physically demanding environmentStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasonsLanguage & BenefitsEnglish (oral and written)4% vacation pay (or 10 days of paid vacation annually)Extended benefitsDental with health and wellness spending will be provided.Who Can ApplyCanadian citizens and permanent residentsNewcomers to CanadaYouth and underrepresented groupsHow to ApplyPlease apply by submitting your resume to: [email protected] a Question?We're here to help.
