Overview
We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our Plastic manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality plastic components through precise operation and maintenance of injection molding machines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with manufacturing processes, and familiarity with quality inspection standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a agile setting focused on lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily injection molding operations across assigned shifts
Lead, train, and motivate machine operators, technicians, and support staff
Ensure molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment are set up and running efficiently
Monitor process parameters and adjust as needed to maintain product quality and cycle times
Troubleshoot molding defects, equipment issues, and production delays
Ensure production schedules and output targets are met
Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and company procedures




Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Production Planning teams
Review production reports, scrap rates, downtime, and corrective actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, 5S, scrap reduction)
Ensure proper documentation of processes, work instructions, and shift handovers

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in injection molding operations
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Robust knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and tooling
Experience with process troubleshooting, setup, and optimization
Familiarity with quality standards, SPC, and production metrics
Ability to read technical drawings and process documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
