Dental Assistant – Level II, NDAEB Certified
Kitchener-Waterloo Area | Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and NDAEB-Certified Level II Dental Assistant to join a well-established dental practice in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
This is a great chance for a skilled Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working as part of a friendly, supportive, and collaborative dental team.
The ideal candidate is confident chairside, dependable, professional, and organized, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical workplace while helping create an exceptional experience for patients.
Schedule
Monday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
2–3 Fridays per month, 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance during examinations, restorative treatments, endodontics, oral surgery, and other clinical procedures
Prepare operatories, instruments, trays, and materials prior to procedures
Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with HARP requirements
Assist with impressions, digital scanning, and other Level II duties as permitted
Maintain sterilization and infection-control protocols in accordance with IPAC standards
Accurately document patient information and treatment in the practice management system
Maintain clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
Help create a warm, professional, and comfortable experience for patients
Collaborate closely with dentists, hygienists, administrators, and fellow Dental Assistants
Support smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the day
Qualifications
NDAEB Certification – Required
Level II Dental Assistant
HARP Certification – Required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Previous Dental Assisting experience strongly preferred
Robust knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, instruments, and infection-control protocols
Experience assisting with surgical and advanced procedures is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Dependable, qualified, and comfortable working in a busy clinical setting
Positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
