Moncrief Construction Limited is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Powerline Technician to perform inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of high-voltage electrical distribution systems at CFB Shilo.

Responsibilities
Inspect and maintain overhead and underground high-voltage distribution systems
Inspect poles, crossarms, conductors, insulators, guys and line hardware
Service transformers, switches, fuses, lightning arrestors and grounding systems
Perform infrared inspections and grounding resistance testing as required
Complete minor repairs and replacement of defective components
Identify and document deficiencies and recommended corrective actions
Complete accurate inspection and maintenance reports
Follow all electrical, client and site safety procedures

The scope includes scheduled inspection and maintenance of high-voltage equipment ranging from poles and overhead distribution equipment to underground cables,



transformers, switches and station equipment.

Qualifications
Valid Manitoba Power Line (M-P) Journeyperson Licence or equivalent qualifications acceptable in Manitoba
Experience with overhead and underground high-voltage distribution systems
Strong knowledge of powerline construction, maintenance and electrical safety
Ability to work safely at heights and outdoors in varying conditions
Valid driver's licence
Robust troubleshooting and documentation skills
Fall protection, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS and related safety certifications are assets

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $48.00 per hour
