Leduc County is looking for experienced and highly motivated Grader Operators to join our team. Reporting to the Grader Foreman this exciting chance operates graders to maintain county roads and municipal infrastructure. The Grader Operators are a key contributor to the achievement of the department's operational deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
What you will do
Operates grader in an assigned area, performing various road maintenance functions in the summer and winter months, in alignment with defined service levels.
Services and performs minor maintenance on assigned equipment.
Changes blades, assists with blade changes and performs minor maintenance on assigned equipment.
Provides extended area coverage when required to back up other operators.
Operates other equipment and performs various labour duties as required.
Advises Foreman of road and infrastructure issues that require attention.
Provide input to the gravelling and rural roads initiative programs.
Adheres to guidelines as set out in Leduc County's policies and administrative directives.
Accountable for working in compliance with the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code and participation in the Health, Safety and Wellness Program.
Performs related duties as required.
Requirements
What you need to succeed
Must-have
A high school diploma and a valid Class 3 Alberta Driver's License.
Three (3) years of motor grader operation experience.
A service focus with valuable verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
A Class 1 Alberta Driver's License.
Familiarity with County operations and knowledge of rural communities.
