Join EDI as an Environmental Monitor, a full-time role centered on environmental assessments and compliance in western Canada and the Yukon.
This permanent position requires a proactive approach to monitoring environmental practices across diverse projects. You'll work on developing and implementing management plans while conducting inspections and managing data collection on-site. Engage with clients, regulators, and contractors to ensure environmental standards are met and documented effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage Environmental Management Plans
• Conduct inspections and monitor environmental protection activities
• Prepare and communicate technical reports to stakeholders
• Collect and report on-site data for compliance
• Support in office mitigation strategies during construction
Requirements:
• Proven experience in environmental monitoring for construction
• Relevant diploma or B.Sc. in fields like Renewable Resources
• Class 5 Driver's Licence required
• Excellent observational and note-taking abilities
• Physical capacity for long work days in the field
