Reports to: Road Superintendent Location: Initial Placement To Be Determined Minimum Qualifications: Secondary school education or equivalent combination of education and experience Good technical and mechanical skills Valid Class D license with Z endorsement with an acceptable abstract Ability to operate light, medium, and heavy equipment, including but not limited to standard transmission tandem dump truck, loader/backhoe, snowplow/sander, tractors, chainsaws, weed eaters, etc.

Ability to work independently in a quick-paced team workplace Valuable communication skills (both verbal and written) Demonstrated secure work practices (in compliance with applicable legislation, i.e.

Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7, County of Brant Health & Safety Policies & Procedures, etc.) Assets: Experience with and demonstrated ability to operate road grader Knowledge related to Public Works Duties: Operate a variety of light, medium and heavy equipment, power and hand tools to perform maintenance, repair,



construction tasks and winter control operations as related to Public Works type activities Other relevant duties as assigned Wage: $26.75/hour Probationary Rate $29.96/hour 6 months to 1 year Rate $33.16/hour 12 month + Rate Shift Premium available Duration: Mid November Mid April 40 hours/week Shift Vacancy: 10:30 pm 7:00 am (Sunday - Thursday) 8:00 pm 6:30 am (Rotating shift) The application deadline is Tuesday September 8, 2026 at 9:00a.m.
