Metro Testing + Engineering is one of the busiest and largest Construction Materials Testing Lab is Western Canada and we have an prospect for students who are currently enrolled in a civil engineering program at a post secondary institution. The person will be helping our lab in field and lab testing of concrete.
Concrete testing experience is an asset, but we will provide the training
What you will be doing
Test concrete before the pour and ensure they meet the specifications and industry standards
Interpret the test results and to produce reports
Building relationship with site personnel to foster long term business collaboration
Travelling to job sites in Campbell River and the surrounding areas.
What you will get
Hourly wage starts at $21 /hr
Training and mentoring in materials testing
Mileage allowance for work related travel
Over time work during the peak season
Who we are looking for
Must be a student enrolled in a engineering program at a post secondary institution.
Interested in career in the Construction Materials Testing industry
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
Valuable command of the English language.
Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kgs / 50 lbs
Experience as an General Labour/assistant is an asset
