We are currently looking to add a Building Information Modelling (BIM)/ Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Coordinator position to expand our support of this technology. The successful candidate will be an individual who possesses a strong entrepreneurial spirit, creative thinking and a desire to work on challenging new projects with an established construction company.The BIM/VDC Coordinator will work with a number of Trotter & Morton's divisions on a project by project basis where BIM/VDC methods need to be applied.

Point Cloud, 3D Scanning)Assist in clash detection and mitigationInterface with client issued modelsProduce fabrication level construction models and drawing packagesAssist in development and maintenance of templates and modeling proceduresWork within construction project management teamsWork with project estimation groups to assist in change order or conceptual design changesStay up to date on technology relevant to BIM in the construction industryEvaluate BIM Technology and processes periodically with BIM CommitteeAssist Project Managers with job bidsAttend post-tender meetings with General ContractorsPresent the status of BIM at Trotter & Morton to stakeholders periodicallyPerform other assignments as requiredRequired SkillsAttention to detailOrganized, capable of managing multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsEstimation or project execution experience would be an assetExperience in construction,



with a focus on mechanical and or electricalTechnical Ability/KnowledgeExperience in relevant Building and Infrastructure BIM applications such as RevitPlumbing code knowledge would be an assetProficient with Autodesk RevitUnderstand VDC requirements and Level of Detail (LOD)Trimble SysQue experience would be an assetExperience with development of 3D models2D Knowledge transfer and drawing exportWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, Procore, Navisworks and Revit would be considered an assetStrong experience in MS Office (ex.
