In this role, you will provide independent, objective assurance that internal controls and policy‑related practices are properly designed and operating effectively. evaluate and document internal control systems and compliance with Company Policy and ProceduresIdentify and recommend process and control improvements to management through effective communication and report writingAssist with the development and updating of audit programsProvide and present audit findings clearly, concisely and timely to appropriate levels of managementAssist the Manager and Director with approaches to remediate control deficienciesMaintain working papers in accordance with NI-52-109 guidelinesAssist the Manager or Director with the execution of special projects and consulting assignmentsProvide coaching and continuous feedback to internal auditorsMust-haves for this role:Post-Secondary Education with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA, CA Designation (preferred)Excellent verbal and written communication in English (French is considered an asset)In addition to the above designation, a CIA or CISA designation would be an assetExperience with process evaluation would be an asset5+ years’ experience in internal or external auditAble to work independently with minimal direct supervisionSafety conscious with excellent skills for business report writingDetailed analytical and problem solving skillsHigh integrity and initiative with solid business and financial acumenStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail and accuracySelf‑motivated, well‑organized with the ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a rapid paced, deadline‑driven environmentStrong computer literacy with knowledge of IT and financial system operations or IT auditing will be an advantage, including SAPWilling and able to travel (30%-40%) and work flexible hours in support of business needs.Valid Driver's Licence and clean Driver's Abstract#J-18808-Ljbffr
