Position Overview:

Alliance Exteriors is seeking an experienced Siding & Cladding Foreman to lead exterior siding and cladding installations across the Greater Toronto Area.

This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced installer who takes pride in exceptional workmanship, understands building-envelope principles, and knows how to lead a crew while maintaining strong production and managing work within established production budgets.

The Siding & Cladding Foreman is responsible for more than completing their own work. They are responsible for the quality, productivity, organization, safety, professionalism, and development of the crew under their leadership.

As a field leader, the Foreman also plays an important role in representing Alliance Exteriors to customers, builders, industry partners, and the public. This includes being comfortable communicating about our work, explaining project details, and participating in company photo, video, and social media content.

We are looking for someone who can set the standard in the field, train installers, identify problems before they become costly, communicate professionally, and consistently deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
Crew Leadership & Production:

- Lead and supervise siding and cladding installation crews on site.
- Work hands-on alongside the crew while providing direction and leadership.
- Maintain high standards for workmanship, productivity, safety, and professionalism.
- Plan daily work and clearly communicate production expectations to installers.
- Track progress against established labour and production budgets.
- Identify potential schedule or production issues early and communicate them to Project Management.
- Manage crew productivity within normal scheduled working hours and established labour budgets.
- Hold crew members accountable for quality, pace, attendance, organization, and jobsite conduct.
- Train and develop junior and intermediate installers.
- Identify individual installer weaknesses and provide practical coaching to improve performance.
- Maintain a strong and sustainable production pace without sacrificing workmanship, safety, or installation standards.

Installation & Technical Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, details, measurements, and installation requirements.
- Complete accurate site measurements, layouts, elevations, and material calculations.
- Install and supervise the installation of:
- James Hardie siding and panels
- Wood siding
- Architectural metal siding
- Corrugated metal siding
- Soffit and fascia
- Custom aluminum flashings and trims
- Rainscreen assemblies
- Exterior insulation systems
- Building-envelope components
- Fabricate and install sheet-metal flashings and details to a high skilled standard.
- Ensure windows, doors, penetrations, transitions, corners, and other critical envelope details are properly flashed and weatherproofed.
- Understand drainage planes, ventilation, rainscreen principles, water management,



and exterior building-envelope fundamentals.
- Inspect work throughout installation rather than waiting until project completion to identify deficiencies.
- Ensure completed installations meet Alliance Exteriors standards, project specifications, and applicable manufacturer requirements.

Project & Jobsite Management:

- Coordinate daily activities with the Project Manager and other trades when required.
- Communicate material shortages, site conditions, design conflicts, deficiencies, and potential delays early.
- Protect customers' homes, landscaping, finished surfaces, and surrounding property.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professional jobsite.
- Ensure tools, equipment, lifts, scaffolding, and materials are used responsibly.
- Enforce company safety procedures and applicable Ontario construction safety requirements.
- Take ownership of problems and participate in finding practical solutions rather than simply escalating issues.
- Complete required jobsite documentation, progress reporting, photos, and quality-control checks.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of Alliance Exteriors installation standards and field procedures.

Customer, Brand & Media Representation:

- Represent Alliance Exteriors professionally when interacting with homeowners, builders, architects, inspectors, suppliers, other trades, and the public.
- Communicate confidently and professionally about the work being completed and the reasoning behind important installation details.
- Collaborate with Alliance Exteriors' videographer and marketing team during scheduled jobsite photography and videography.
- Be comfortable appearing and speaking on camera as a field representative of Alliance Exteriors.
- Participate in project walkthroughs and on-camera project tours explaining materials, installation methods, building-envelope details, challenges, and completed work.
- Assist in demonstrating workmanship, installation techniques, and project details for educational and social media content.
- Participate professionally in company social media and marketing initiatives when required.
- Help showcase the craftsmanship, technical knowledge, organization, and professionalism that differentiate Alliance Exteriors.
- Maintain professional appearance, language, conduct, and jobsite standards when representing Alliance Exteriors publicly.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 7+ years of professional siding, cladding, or exterior-envelope installation experience.
- Previous experience leading crews or supervising installers.
- Strong experience with James Hardie, wood siding, and metal siding/cladding.
- Strong sheet-metal fabrication and installation skills.
- Good understanding of exterior building-envelope and water-management principles.
- Ability to identify poor workmanship and explain how it should be corrected.
- Ability to train installers and improve both their quality and productivity.
- Strong layout, measurement, problem-solving,



and construction-detailing skills.
- Comfortable working at heights and in typical exterior construction conditions.
- Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable professionally explaining construction methods, details, and completed work to customers and on camera.
- Willing to participate in company photography, videography, project tours, and social media content.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Appropriate Working at Heights and safety certifications.
- Able to maintain professional standards when working on premium residential properties.

Compensation & Growth:

Starting rate: $40/hour

Compensation can increase based on demonstrated technical capability, leadership, performance, and responsibility.
