Join the Access Community Therapists TeamOccupational Therapist – DysphagiaAbout the Position$54-$79 per hour (dependent on status and experience)(other)We are seeking a collaborative, committed Occupational Therapist to join our team for a minimum 25 hours/week and ideally fulltime. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or expertise in dysphagia management. We are looking for an individual based in Greater Vancouver who is willing to travel to outreach areas around the province periodically.In this role, you will provide assessment and consultation to address physical and rehabilitation needs, with a particular focus on supporting safe eating, drinking, and swallowing for adults with developmental disabilities living in the community. Many clinicians have been with us for decades, providing consistent, person-centered, interdisciplinary care across community settings.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide primary community rehabilitation services to adults with developmental disabilities including conducting functional assessments, developing individualized rehabilitation plans, equipment recommendation and funding, and education for caregivers to maximize health, safety, and participation.Provide specialized dysphagia assessment and support for adults with special needs related to neurological, developmental, and complex chronic health conditions in the Greater Vancouver area and across BC, through in-person, outreach, and virtual telehealth services.Work together with the client, family, and their care team to complete dysphagia assessments, provide recommendations,
