Seeking a Leasing Manager for a role in Ontario and Quebec area reporting to the National Director of Transactions and Strategic Initiatives. Responsible for retail and office leasing transactions, working directly with Corporate Real Estate, Landlord and Broker representatives to secure new leases and negotiate lease renewals in strategic retail locations for the bank.French Language Skills RequiredFrench language proficiency is required.Strategic AdvisoryActs as a trusted advisor to the Retail Banking team.Responsible for procuring recent development projects and/or sites within the portfolio based on business needs.Create leasing plans and gather market data to assist in strategic decisioning.Coordinate with internal stakeholders (property management, project managers and design managers, as well as external stakeholders such as legal) as it relates to each deal.Assist in the development of strategic plans with the Retail team.Analyze demographic data and information to provide insights and recommendations for location strategy.External Relationship ManagementCreate and maintain Landlord and broker relationships in the marketplace.Network with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practices.Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making.NegotiationsBreak down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.Use external relationships to assess market comparables for deals being negotiated, creating leverage with landlords.Drive value for the enterprise by negotiating favorable leases and controlling cost increases of the bank's portfolio.Internal Stakeholder ManagementPartnership with Physical Channels leaders to execute business strategy by securing strategic locations.Act as a relationship manager on assigned projects/programs and ensure alignment to overall enterprise and group goals.Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.Participate in project/program design and provide advice and subject‑matter expertise to achieve required business results.Conduct analysis to inform strategic recommendations and consider the "big picture" when assessing whether or not a course of action is advisable to achieve group and enterprise goals.Identify enablers and key issues prior to and during implementation to raise issues with stakeholders and offer solutions that resolve issues or risks jeopardizing delivery.Reporting and AnalyticsManage databases and provide support for analysis, forecasting and/or data visualization to help drive better decision‑making on strategic leasing opportunities.Provide regular pipeline and milestone updates to key stakeholders and the executive team.Monitor and track performance and address any issues.QualificationsTypically between 5–7 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience working with lease agreements and other legal documentation.Willingness to take initiative and ownership of tasks.Knowledge of process and/or project management.Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.Strong communication, teamwork and analytical skills.Salary$69,000.00 – $129,000.00Pay TypeSalariedBenefitsHealth insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.EEO and Accessibility StatementBMO is committed to an inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace.
