This role supports vehicle and system architecture developed by creating and maintaining master models, ensuring design integrity, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, high quality engineering solutions.Key Job Elements:Design mobile defense subsystems with minimal supervision utilizing NX CAD software integrated to the Teamcenter databaseMaintain vehicle master models and product structure (Virtual Engineering Unit) and administer working files for multiple design teamsWork with team mentor to develop concepts and sub-system space and weight allocationsSupport model reviews using NX CAD software and/or Teamcenter VisualizationWork team mentor to triage issues and develop solution concepts that are considerate of the entire systemEnsure design integrity by performing dynamic motion, interference, and weight and center of gravity analyses; communicate results to internal customersCreate solid models, layouts and associative assembly and detail drawings from sketches, notes or direction from senior designers or Project Engineers to stringent industry, company and military standardsRequired Qualifications:University degree or college diploma in the Mechanical fieldMinimum 1-2 years experience with NX CAD software in modeling, drafting and advanced assembliesStrong knowledge of the application and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;)
