General Labourer / Forklift Operator Job Description General Labourer / Forklift Operator Location: Vaughan, ON Job Type: Temporary / Vacation Relief approximately 2 months, with possibility of extension Start Date: ASAP / Early September Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7: AM 4: PM Pay Rate: to start, up to for a strong candidate Position Overview Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer / Forklift Operator to join their team on a temporary vacation relief assignment.

This is primarily a hands-on general labour and material handling position, with forklift operation required as needed.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment, can safely operate a counterbalance forklift, and is willing to learn how to identify and sort different types of metal materials.

Key Responsibilities Perform general labour and material handling duties, including cleaning, sweeping, organizing, and moving materials.

Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift when required.

Load, unload, move, and organize various metal materials.

Identify different types of metals and sort materials appropriately.

Assist with dismantling, taking apart, and separating materials and components.





Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow instructions and established safety procedures.

Work independently once trained while supporting the team as needed.

Perform other general labour duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements Valid Counterbalance Forklift certification/licence required.

Previous forklift operating experience required.

Previous experience in general labour, construction, warehouse, recycling, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on environment is preferred.

Ability to identify different types of metal or willingness to learn.

Comfortable performing physical labour throughout the workday.

Comfortable working in a dirty, hands-on industrial environment.

Good English communication skills.

Reliable, punctual, respectful, and willing to learn.

Able to follow instructions and work safely.

Ability to demonstrate skills and abilities through hands-on work.
