Become a key part of patient care as a Care Team Assistant at Nova Scotia Health. This full time role at Valley Regional Hospital allows you to provide essential support through hands-on interaction every day.
You will work directly under the guidance of health professionals in the OPWZ Medical B Stroke Unit, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their needs. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks and educating families about care protocols, thereby enhancing the quality of life for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support patients with daily activities and needs
• Deliver hands-on care as directed by health professionals
• Help reinforce family education and support initiatives
• Maintain compliance with safety and care protocols
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary care team for optimal outcomes
Requirements:
• Completion of the Continuing Care Assistant Program
• Valid Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
• Basic Life Support Certification current
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Multilingual skills, especially in French, are beneficial
