This approach, along with our extreme work ethic, makes us a service provider of choice for many clients.Based inHuntsville ,ON, theSurvey Crew Chiefwill report to the Project Manager, Geomatics, and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on supporting mining, construction, and infrastructure development in Central and Northern Ontario. You’ll be part of a team that provides a full range of surveying services including boundary retracement, construction layout, monitoring, and high‑definition 3D laser scanning. This is a new position and the salary range for this position is $55,000 – $75,000 annually.What You’ll Do:Assess field and documentary evidence to perform boundary surveysPerform pre‑engineering, topographic surveysRead and decipher design documents for basic layout calculationsPerform high‑precision surveys such as industrial layout, deformation monitoring, levelling, and static control network surveysPerform construction layout for anchor bolt locations, grid lines, formwork, concrete piers,
and footingsCollect field data using traditional survey instruments such as total station and high precision levels as well as GPS field equipmentOversee QC of data collection ensuring that field notes and daily downloads are completeCollect terrestrial scanning and UAV dataInteract with clients while onsiteMaintain safe workplace operations in compliance with our health and safety policies and proceduresMentor and train new field staffPlease note that this job description is not meant to be an all‑inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.Who You Are:You have at least three (3) years of practical related work experienceYou are proficient in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting conventional and GPS survey equipment or similarYou are familiar with static control surveys, high‑precision layout work, and 1st order levelling techniques (or are willing and able to learn)You have knowledge of Ontario survey evidence and the Acts, Standards, and Regulations as they relate to performing cadastral surveysYou are willing to travel consistently for site inspections and fieldwork, including outside of the Huntsville area. This role requires frequent travel,
