Embark on an environmental internship at Canadian Natural’s Albian Oil Sands Site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role offers hands-on experience with surface and groundwater projects, working alongside industry experts for 8 months.

The internship is ideal for students in their third or fourth year, focusing on Hydrology or Hydrogeology. You'll be responsible for sampling water, conducting field measurements, and supporting the setting team with various projects. The position operates on a 4 days on, 3 days off shift schedule, enhancing your learning while providing practical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect water samples in compliance with safety standards
• Perform field measurements including conductivity and dissolved oxygen




• Prepare bottles and manage Chain of Custody for samples
• Monitor wetlands and conduct environmental inspections
• Support data validation and reporting tasks

Requirements:
• Currently studying in Biology, Environmental Studies, or Earth Sciences
• Clean Class 5 driver’s license required
• Must handle physical aspects of fieldwork
• Experience in environmental fieldwork is valuable
• Database experience is beneficial
