Join Shared Health as a dedicated Health Care Aide in Selkirk. Deliver patient care and support daily living activities in a mental health setting while adhering to established care protocols.

As a Health Care Aide at Shared Health, you will assist with activities of daily living and promote patient independence at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre. This role requires effective communication and the ability to prioritize care for individuals with various needs. You will work as part of a healthcare team while adapting to agile situations and maintaining a commitment to the organization’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct care to patients within the mental health center
• Assist patients with daily living activities and goal acquisition




• Demonstrate adherence to care policies and procedures
• Maintain effective communication with team members and patients
• Respond to simultaneous demands effectively

Requirements:
• Completed recognized Health Care Aide course
• Experience in a mental health setting preferred
• Strong communication skills in English
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to handle moderate to heavy physical tasks
