As a Shift Lead, you'll coordinate direct support workers and ensure effective resident care in a residential setting. Your role includes managing behavioral challenges and ensuring a safe atmosphere for clients facing homelessness and addiction. You will facilitate shift exchanges and maintain solid therapeutic relationships while attending to health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop therapeutic relationships with clients
• Coordinate shift exchanges and provide guidance
• Maintain safety through engagement and supervision
• Document incidents,
safety needs, and daily events
• Support decision-making for conflict resolution
Requirements:
• Two-year college diploma in Social Service Work or Childcare
• Over one year of experience with marginalized clients
• CPR First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of mental health and addictions
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
