Role Description The Retail Experience Guide is a full-time, in office role based in Edmonton, AB, focused on creating an outstanding in-store experience for ski and snowboard customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting guests, understanding their needs, and providing knowledgeable guidance on equipment, apparel, and accessories. The role involves fitting and explaining gear (such as boots, skis, and boards), processing sales at the point of sale system, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining well-organized, visually appealing displays. The Retail Experience Guide will also support inventory activities such as restocking, tagging, and basic product checks, while contributing to a positive team workplace. This role requires active engagement with customers on the sales floor,



especially during peak winter months, and a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and excellent service.
Qualifications Customer experience and communication: strong interpersonal skills, ability to engage with a wide range of guests, and clear, friendly communication.
Sales and retail operations: experience in retail or customer-facing roles, comfort using point of sale systems, and basic cash-handling and merchandising skills.
Snow sports knowledge: familiarity with skiing and/or snowboarding equipment and apparel, with a willingness to learn product details and fitting techniques.
Teamwork and reliability: ability to collaborate with colleagues, take direction, and consistently follow shop procedures and safety guidelines.
Organization and problem-solving: skill in managing multiple tasks, staying organized in a busy environment, and helping customers find suitable solutions.
Flexibility and availability: readiness to work weekends, evenings, and peak seasonal hours as needed.
Physical requirements: ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move gear and boxes as part of daily duties.
Education and experience: prior retail or hospitality experience is an asset; interest in snow sports and willingness to continuously learn about products is highly valued.
