The Role OpenTrain AI is seeking a Canadian English Speech and Accent Evaluator to help assess and improve AI-generated spoken responses. You will interact with an AI model in Canadian English, provide audio prompts, and evaluate the model’s responses for accent, fluency, pronunciation, and naturalness.
Applicants must currently be based in Canada and have at least two years of experience using Canadian English in daily personal or professional communication. Familiarity with local pronunciation, accent variation, and linguistic nuances is essential.
Pay: $25 USD per hour
Schedule: Less than 20 hours per week

What You’ll Do You will evaluate spoken AI responses and provide clear, structured feedback that can be used to fine-tune the model’s linguistic capabilities. Your assessments should identify specific issues and explain how the speech could become more natural and intelligible.
Interact with an AI model using Canadian English.
Provide audio prompts for the model to answer.
Assess accent accuracy, fluency, pronunciation, and overall naturalness.
Identify errors, unusual pronunciation, and unnatural speech patterns.
Give constructive, structured, and actionable feedback.




Evaluate whether repeated model iterations improve toward a perfect 7/7 accent and fluency rating.
Requirements This is an entry-level opportunity for candidates with strong Canadian English proficiency and careful listening skills. A background in linguistics, phonetics, speech analysis, or language teaching is helpful but not required.
Currently based in Canada.
At least two years of experience using Canadian English in daily communication.
Strong familiarity with Canadian pronunciation and accent variations.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing speech.
Ability to identify and explain pronunciation, fluency, and accent issues.
Ability to provide clear and structured feedback.
Comfort evaluating spoken audio from an AI model.
