At Burnaby Hospital, we are seeking dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our Acute department. This role involves assisting with personal care tasks, meal support, and documentation under the guidance of nursing staff. As part of our redevelopment project, you will contribute to a modernized healthcare campus that prioritizes patient-centric care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with personal care including bathing and grooming
• Observe and report patient progress to the designated nurse
• Support patients during meal times and document dietary needs




• Measure vital signs and assist with non-sterile specimen collection
• Transport patients safely using mechanical aids

Requirements:
• Completed Health Care Assistant program or equivalent experience
• Registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
• Current Food Safe Level One certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks required in care
