SITE CORDINATOR, EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR (RECE) – EARLYON Job Title: Site Coordinator, Early Years Educator (RECE)
Department: Programs – EarlyON
Reports To: Supervisor, or Designate
Working Hours: 23 hours per week, Permanent Part-time
Location/Base: Riverside, Queen of Heaven Turtle Creek
Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
BridgeWay is the largest provider of EarlyON Child and Family Centres in the Region of Peel. We provide free prenatal services, early learning programs and supports to pregnant women and families/caregivers with children birth - 6 years of age. We are looking to grow our team with new staff who want to work closely with children and their families in our centres and programs.
Duties Include: Plan daily programs, special guests and events for EarlyON and BridgeWay programs following the ELECT and “How Does Learning Happen” pedagogy and curriculum to provide family support and quality programs
Use various techniques including coaching, modeling, active listening, observing, questioning, demonstrating and supporting educators, students
Prepare the monthly calendar
Provide monthly report to Supervisor
Providing tasks for volunteer and student placements
Conduct meetings with site staff to reflect, plan and update programs
Set up and set down of room, where required
Liase with onsite superintendent to arrange day-to-day room accommodations (which bathroom to use, etc.), where required
Laundry, where required
Cleaning of toys
Act as on-site support for new staff and clients who seek guidance navigating the BridgeWay website, OCCMS, or online registration




Track program registration and attendance levels and flag programs to the Communications team for additional promotion
Communicate areas of concern around attendance
Liase with Manager, Pedagogy to conduct program evaluations and participate in CQI
Liase with Manager of Pedagogy for new initiatives in program planning and development
Inventory supplies and place orders with Program Support Coordinator, monitor site budget accordingly
May supervise a student and or a volunteer
Promotion Post all flyers, brochures, posted materials at sites
Ensure bulletin boards, TV screens, and other physical displays reflect current promotions and brand standards
Submit requests for new or replenished promotional materials as needed
Notify Supervisor and Facilities Manager of any malfunctioning technology at the site (TV, computer)
Provide site tours to parents, funders, etc.
Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns or materials that reflect community insights
Collect stories and successes from families and share with Manager, Pedagogy and communications for celebratory purposes
Track and share informal insights about how new families heard about BridgeWay (e.g., referral, social media, word of mouth).
Health and Safety Ensure programs and sites are welcoming, inclusive, safe and clean for families




Conduct health and safety inspections, conduct fire drills
Safe storage of materials
Other Attend bingo events where requested
Attend community development events to support in promotion of site
Attend trainings as requested
Other duties as assigned
*Programs are offered outdoors and indoors.
Qualifications Must possess an E.C.E. diploma/certificate or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience in a related field
Excellent communications skills
Possess knowledge of child and family development
Must have current first aid certification
Excellent organization skills
Self motivated
Vulnerable Sector Check
Ability to work some flexible hours
Assets Awareness of resources/supports available in the Peel community
Experience facilitating programs/support groups with new mothers/parents/ caregivers in attendance
Family Support Certification is asset
Additional languages an asset
Hours: 23 hours per week (may include weekday, weekend and evening shifts)
