Become part of a crucial payroll project in Downtown Toronto as a part-time specialist focused on documentation. This temporary role offers the chance to work flexibly within a project for approximately six months.
We are looking for an experienced payroll qualified, consultant, or recently retired individual to help document and map essential payroll processes. Collaborating with the Payroll Manager, you will create comprehensive process documentation that captures critical payroll knowledge, ensuring consistency across cycles and compliance during year-end activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shadow the Payroll Manager through processing cycles
• Document payroll controls, workflows, and key activities
• Capture all aspects of payroll inputs and validations
• Observe year-end payroll reconcile and tax reporting
• Create effective process maps and knowledge documentation
Requirements:
• Proven payroll experience in Canada, multi-province is a plus
• Payroll designation such as PCP or working towards it
• Strong documentation and analytical abilities
• Experience in process mapping and knowledge transfer
• Maintain confidentiality and high attention to detail
Support payroll operations through effective documentation and process improvement in this meaningful project.
