We are searching for a Temporary Full-time Client Services Manager (LPN) to join our Parkland Cape Breton team based in Sydney, Nova Scotia .

About The Opportunity

Provides clinical oversight,



leadership and expertise to the care/service team by fostering and promoting best practices

Supports, promotes and evaluates resident care from an Allied health perspective.

Directs the regular health assessments of prospective and current residents to maintain quality of life in the appropriate lifestyle option

Assists in the recruitment, orientation, training and professional development of team members

Provides leadership to and direct supervision of employees in the area of responsibility

Ensures compliance with organizations brand standards, policies, and regulatory requirements

Ensures regular and consistent communication by holding team talks, departmental meetings, etc.

Manages the professional development of all team members in area of responsibility.

Responds to and implements the recommendations resulting from organizational brand integrity and quality improvement programs

Administers and evaluates special programs such as infection control, nursing quality improvement and utilization review

Ensures accurate collection and root cause analysis of data

Ensures resident safety by ensuring team members follow and apply all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training provided

Intervenes and addresses inappropriate or unsafe team member activity

Responds to government inspection/investigation reports and maintains licensing standards

Promotes and leads a safety culture

Additional duties as assigned/required





About You

LPN diploma; or equivalent

Current registration with provincial LPN regulatory body

Minimum five (5) years nursing experience

Pharmacology and Physical Assessment course (if not completed during diploma)

Current CPR & Emergency First Aid certification required

Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment

Experience in a supervisory/leadership role in a health care service or seniors living environment.

Personal computer skills in the use of related software applications

Specialized courses such as: Foot Care, Palliative Care, Venipuncture considered an asset

Alzheimer’s Disease or another Dementia Care Course considered an asset
