As a Seasonal Archaeological Field Technician, your role supports major infrastructure assessments in Simpcw Territory. You'll engage in fieldwork that includes systematic shovel testing, artifact identification, and data collection using GPS. Ideal candidates are motivated, dependable, and enjoy the outdoors, contributing to Indigenous heritage preservation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct systematic shovel testing and auger testing
• Screen soils and assist in identifying artifacts
• Record field data accurately using various tools




• Support archaeological site assessments and evaluations
• Maintain field equipment and ensure safety compliance

Requirements:
• Robust interest in archaeology and outdoor fieldwork
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Enrollment in a related academic program considered an asset
