In this role, the successful candidate will provide essential services aligned with Ontario Child Protection Standards. You will engage with diverse communities, conduct investigations, and advocate for children and families. This position involves a significant caseload of both voluntary and non-voluntary clients, emphasizing continuous support and crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide culturally relevant services to First Nations families
• Investigate allegations of child abuse and risk factors
• Advocate for necessary community support services
• Coordinate customary care and society placements
• Act as a witness in court matters as needed
Requirements:
• BSW or equivalent social service experience
• Valid “G” Ontario Driver’s licence and insurance
• Ability to travel and work flexible schedule
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Bilingual in an Indigenous language is an asset
