Become a Spiritual Care Provider with the Canadian Armed Forces, dedicated to fostering the spiritual wellbeing of military personnel and their families. This role emphasizes ethical guidance and officiating key ceremonies.
As a CAF Spiritual Care Provider, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all service members receive the spiritual support they need, no matter their faith or practice. Your responsibilities will include officiating at military ceremonies and addressing ethical dilemmas presented by the chain of command, all while maintaining a compassionate presence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comforting support during significant life events
• Officiate at various military ceremonies and functions
• Consult on ethical dilemmas and spiritual accommodation requests
• Collaborate with local faith community leaders
• Refer individuals to counseling and qualified support
Requirements:
• Must be ordained or mandated by a recognized Faith Tradition
• Graduate degree in Faith Tradition formation required
• Minimum of two years of leadership experience in faith
• Expertise in spiritual and ethical advisory roles
• Willingness to adapt to diverse military settings
